For "Ordinary Aura", a group show curated by Adam Wolpa for Grand Rapids' Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, I installed an array of speaker horns connected to an audio-DVD. The DVD is programmed to infinitely repeat a single, short, loud alarm sound, followed a pause of some duration less than an hour. The effect is a space always under threat of a potential sonic blast.
I later converted the project into a portable, computer-based work for integration into everyday work environments. This version found its way onto the radio airwaves of Kenny G's WFMU show, Anal Magic.
