    Art in the Siebel Center

    new ways of incorporating contemporary art into an institution

    Since Fall 2002 I have been working with the Computer Science department at UIUC to develop a curated program in temporary site-specific art projects for the Siebel Center, Computer Science's new home on campus. The building was completed in Spring 2004, and aims to serve as a "living lab" for the integration of computing applications into everyday life. Likewise, the art selected and commisioned is integrated into everyday spaces, rather than isolated on display. Artists exhibited have included Mark Bain, Jennifer Danos, Jane Benson, Tiffany Holmes, James Buckhouse, and Jill Magid.
